Three extra live-action Star Wars movies are on the way, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy introduced Friday.
The most recent additions to the franchise will probably be made by James Mangold, who directed Logan and the newest Indiana Jones; Dave Filoni, who has labored on the sequence Avatar: The Final Airbender and The Mandalorian; and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, who has directed episodes of Ms. Marvel.
Mangold’s movie will chronicle the daybreak of the Jedi. Filoni’s will give attention to the New Republic, closing out the interconnected tales informed in The Mandalorian, The Ebook of Boba Fett, Ahsoka and different Disney+ sequence.
Obaid-Chinoy’s movie will comply with the occasions of The Rise of Skywalker, which was the ultimate chapter of the third trilogy launched in 2019. Actress Daisy Ridley will return as Rey, who seeks to construct a brand new Jedi Order.
Premier dates haven’t been introduced.
