Anthony Richardson ‘shocked’ Colts named him Week 1 starter: ‘Wow, it really happened’

The Indianapolis Colts have seen all they wanted to call the fourth total decide within the 2023 NFL Draft, Anthony Richardson, their Week 1 beginning quarterback. 

The Florida Gators product admitted he was stunned by the choice. 

ESPN reported that when new head coach Shane Steichen informed Richardson and Gardner Minshew of the choice to call Richardson the starter, Richardson was “shocked.”
