Houston’s ‘Sticky Note Bandit’ robs fourth Texas bank: FBI

The suspect who has been robbing Houston-area banks whereas dressed as a girl has stolen from a fourth one, the FBI reported Tuesday.

“The ‘Sticky Word Bandit’ struck once more in the present day on the Financial institution of America on San Felipe Avenue!” FBI Houston tweeted. “He has dedicated 4 robberies in lower than two weeks, and we want your assist to search out him!”

The suspect’s signature methodology of robbing is at hand threatening sticky notes to tellers, which resulted within the nickname.

The bandit was first noticed at a Hancock Whitney financial institution July 5. He stole an unknown sum of money from the enterprise.

“The suspect entered the financial institution dressed as a feminine, approached a teller, and handed them a threatening notice written on a sticky notice which demanded money,” the FBI Houston subject workplace explained in a previous statement.

The second incident befell in east Houston final week, when the suspect handed a Wells Fargo teller an analogous notice. The theft was not profitable.

“The teller walked away from the counter and locked themselves within the again room for security. The suspect remained within the financial institution foyer for a short while, then fled the scene on foot with none cash,” the press launch added.

The third theft was in southwest Houston at a Wells Fargo financial institution, when the suspect efficiently stole an unknown amount of money.

No accidents have been reported from the robberies. The FBI is asking Houston residents to be looking out for the suspect, who has been photographed in a inexperienced sweater, black skirt and black wig.

“The robber is described as a black male, roughly 5’8″ tall with a skinny to medium construct,” the FBI defined. “Through the [second and third] robberies he wore a black wig, black sun shades, a blue medical masks, a inexperienced girls’s fashion sweater, black girls’s ballet flats, and carried a black purse.”

A $5,000 reward is being supplied for callers who can provide data resulting in the suspect’s identification and arrest. Callers are urged to contact 713-222-TIPS or the FBI Houston subject workplace at 713-693-5000.
