In a news release, IATSE VFX coordinator Bella Huffman famous “Turnaround instances do not apply to us, protected hours do not apply to us, and pay fairness would not apply to us.”
Union leaders say becoming a member of them would give the “on set “staff the identical protections and advantages loved by different crew members, corresponding to manufacturing designers, artwork administrators, digicam operators, sound editors, hair and make-up artists..
“This can be a historic first step for VFX staff coming along with a collective voice demanding respect for the work we do,” Mark Patch, an VFX organizer for IATSE, mentioned within the press launch.
