Massachusetts authorities are investigating a fireplace that tore via a church on Easter Sunday as an act of arson, officers stated this week.
The blaze on the Religion Lutheran Church/Eritrean Evangelical Church in Cambridge broke out on April 9 round 5:30 p.m. The six-alarm hearth shortly unfold and was lastly extinguished at 4 a.m. the subsequent day, the FBI stated.

“We’re keenly conscious that anywhere of worship is a cornerstone of the neighborhood, and we need to reassure residents that we’re approaching this case with the seriousness and gravity that it deserves,” officers wrote in a joint assertion.
“No piece of data is just too small to share,” the assertion continued.
The Rev. Robin Lutjohann, the church’s pastor, stated the constructing was empty on the time. He referred to as the fireplace “heartbreaking.”
