Scarlett Johansson, Sienna Miller and Emily Beecham are all set to star in My Mother’s Wedding, the upcoming British drama directed by Kristin Scott Thomas. She’s making her directorial debut from a screenplay she co-wrote with John Micklethwait.
The film follows three romantically dysfunctional sisters who return to their childhood home for the third wedding of their twice-widowed mother. Georgina (Johansson), Victoria (Miller) and Katherine (Beecham) lead very different lives.

Scarlett Johansson wore her Sunday best to film scenes for My Mother’s Wedding alongside her co-stars Sienna Miller and Emily Beecham. She added height to her frame with a pair of black heels and carried a matching clutch bag.
She also starred in Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City, Disney’s Tower of Terror and Apple Studios’ space race movie Project Artemis. She is set to star in a new Amazon series called Just Cause, which she also produced.
The acclaimed actress has now turned her attention to directing in My Mother’s Wedding, which she will write and direct herself. It stars BAFTA and Golden Globe nominee Sienna Miller, SAG ensemble winner Freida Pinto and Cannes Film Festival best actress Emily Beecham.
The film follows three sisters who return to their childhood home for a momentous weekend, the third wedding of their twice-widowed mother. Their lives are radically different from each other; Georgina (Beecham) is a palliative nurse, Victoria (Miller) is Hollywood star and Katherine (Johansson) is a Royal Navy captain.

My Mother’s Wedding also stars Sienna Miller, Emily Beecham and BAFTA Award nominee Freida Pinto. Joshua McGuire, Sindhu Vee, Mark Stanley, Thibault de Montalembert and Samson Kayo round out the cast. It’s set to be released in 2023.

Oscar-nominated actress Beecham was recently awarded Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival for Jessica Hausner’s Little Joe. Her other credits include 28 Weeks Later, Hail Caesar!, Cruella, Guy Ritchie’s The Interpreter and Mikael Hafstrom’s Slingshot. Hopefully My Mother’s Wedding will give us more of what we expect from this talented actress.
